Solo, the man, the myth, the Legend

I’ve had my share of track days and its always a struggle when you’re there by yourself. So I know how it is when your team make your day on the track a very warm and comfortable experience. Well that explains Sunday, June 14th with Team Promotions at NJ motorsports on the track they call the Lightening. I was honored to be a part of the support team for one of Sportbike’s greatest riders on 2, Solo. The man, the myth, the Legend.

Its a pleasure working at his side and giving him the support that a real rider deserves. His entire day was spent in proving himself good enough to advance into a second stage of track racing and he did that with ease. Areas of improvment from the riding coaches was brought to his attention and without arguement. And I have to agree with his attitude along the course of the day.

Solo has this humble demeanor about him and his riding ability that can make him the most fear rider on the track. His philosphy, is to be thankful and humble about yourself and your ride. Another rider approaches you are start mouthing off, let them. On the track, a rider’s trying to run you down, let them by, see what he/she has, then take what he/she has and use it against them. Ride within your mean and know the limitations of yourself before you can start judging others on 2 wheels.

The enitire day was a lesson in a most respectful way. While Solo is not that much older than myself, he’s a role model to look up to. His professional life, family life, and social life seems to have a structure that each and every Supreme Ryder should aim for, if not beyond. Here’s to Solo and his family, may God bless them all.

TO PLAY WITH SOLO AND THE SUPREME RYDERZ ON THE NEXT TRACK SESSION, COME JOIN US ON JULY 5TH, NJ MOTORSPORTS TRACK, THUNDERBOLT.
